It has been busy the past few days in the Northwest, and more snow, rain, and freezing rain will continue over the next few days. Pictures and videos of ice coming out of the PNW are nothing less than impressive. Remember, if walking outside is extremely difficult to impossible, it's going to be the same thing behind the wheel of a car. Unfortunately, the long-lived ice, freezing rain, and rain have not let up yet.

Winter weather alerts are in place through Monday morning for portions of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Montana. This ice event comes after a week of horrible weather in Oregon and Washington, but thankfully this incoming round doesn't look to produce as much ice, if any. Instead, additional snow accumulations could be up to 6-12" in the higher terrain of the Blue Mountains and Cascades.

Expect more showers and snow to work through tonight and into tomorrow morning. We will see multiple waves over the next few days. To be honest, this weather pattern will continue to feature very wet weather for the Pacific Northwest. Frankly, there's not much of a break coming our way in terms of precipitation, so get ready to have the umbrella and snow boots handy!
